Bolts and Anchors

Particularly necessary equipment for mountaineers and rock climbers in the form of bolts, rivets, pitons and anchor plates, which are used to create secure belay points.

Anchor plates are small pieces of stainless steel with multiple holes, inserted into drilled holes in the rock of the same diameter. They are used to create a belay point and can also be recognised by their characteristic L-shape.

Bolts and pitons serve the same purpose as anchor plates — creating a belay point — with the difference that they are non-removable, i.e. permanent. They are similarly inserted into a drilled hole using adhesive and can be recognised by their characteristic I-shape with an eye at the end.
