Harnesses

A certified climbing harness should be part of every climber's basic kit. An important factor in choosing is comfort and a sense of security. At Waragod you will find quality harnesses suitable for mountaineering, ski touring, via ferratas, canyoning, classic wall climbing, as well as harnesses for rescue and tactical operations.

There are several types of climbing harnesses. In our range you will find three types — full body, sit harnesses and chest harnesses.

The most commonly used are sit harnesses, which wrap around the hips and thighs of the climber. They consist of a waist belt connected by straps to further straps around the thighs. When buying a sit harness you must try it on with the clothing you will be wearing during the activity. It should sit comfortably at the waist, slightly above the hips. It must not slip down onto the sides of your pelvis, nor should it press at the waist.

If you are unsure about your choice, you can also opt for a full body harness, which wraps around the entire torso and thighs. In our range you will find a full body harness from manufacturer Petzl, available in two sizes.
