Unfortunately, none of us yet has the superpower to zoom in and enlarge objects in the distance, so we must continue to rely on binoculars and riflescopes. The desire to observe objects, people, animals or enemies from a distance has tempted us for centuries. As an interesting fact — the first known binoculars were patented by Dutch optician Hans Lippershey in 1608. A great deal of time has passed since then, and the development of binoculars has advanced enormously. Modern binoculars are capable of remarkable things, there are many types available and navigating them is not entirely straightforward.

To begin with, it is worth noting that there are 2 main types of binoculars by construction. The first is the refractor, which is composed of lenses, and the second is the reflector, which uses a mirror to reflect the image to the sensor. In our range you will find refractor binoculars. Binoculars can be further divided into monoculars (single eye) or binoculars (both eyes). The advantage of the first type is its compact dimensions — they are mostly telescopic and sufficiently small, such as for example the gold-coloured monocular — HeliosAdmiral. Binoculars offer more options and some have built-in rangefinders or compasses.
