Thermal Underwear
Are you carrying out special tasks in extreme winter conditions and frequently moving through demanding terrain? Do you enjoy testing everything your body can handle on long hiking marches, or perhaps simply savour your favourite winter outdoor activities?
Winter Will No Longer Stop You
Whatever the answers to these questions, if even in freezing weather you are not the type to flee into a warm room after a few minutes, then thermal bottoms or functional thermal underwear must be part of the "essential kit" of your winter wardrobe. With this underwear you simply give winter no chance.
Nothing stops you from wearing thermal bottoms to work or during leisure time either. This underwear also proves invaluable for athletes and wind-hardened motorcyclists. In winter, stand-alone thermal bottoms will keep you warm, or you can rely on functional thermal underwear from specialist manufacturer HELIKON – TEX. Thermal underwear with elasticated-waist bottoms and an elongated undershirt perfectly retains body heat in any demanding climatic conditions. It is therefore no surprise that it is a favourite of military and armed forces personnel.
Requirements for Thermal Bottoms
Thermal bottoms are one of the three recommended clothing layers. Their role is to wick moisture away from the body and thus keep it warm and dry. For thermal underwear to fulfil its function thoroughly, however, pay close attention to the size of the product you are buying. The underwear must simply follow the contours of your body as closely as possible.
The material of the thermal bottoms deserves equal attention. Among the various materials that may be considered, polyester and elastane are worth mentioning. Polyester fibres are characterised by high durability, excellent moisture-wicking, fast drying and keeping the body warm even at temperatures well below freezing. Elastane ensures the above-mentioned optimal fit of the thermal underwear to the body. In addition to thermal underwear, do not forget thermal socks, which will contribute to a feeling of dryness, warmth and well-being.
