Carabiners are essential pieces of equipment for climbers. They are part of the protection chain and are used to connect the climber to the rope, connect slings to anchors, and for many other purposes. Carabiners are divided into two main categories: locking carabiners (with a screwgate, twist-lock or auto-lock mechanism) for critical connections, and non-locking carabiners for quickdraws and less critical uses. Key parameters include: gate type (straight, bent, wire), shape (oval, D-shape, HMS/pear), weight and strength ratings (major axis, minor axis, open gate). All carabiners in our range are CE and UIAA certified.
