Footwear Care Products
Shoes definitely deserve care, and skimping on it does not pay off. We walk in them to work or along roads and off-road in demanding terrain, often without realising what invaluable service they provide our feet.
Even the highest-quality or most comfortable footwear will lose its appeal and stop fulfilling its function if we do not give it adequate maintenance. Usually very little is needed. Clean the footwear of dirt, allow it to dry, and use quality products that will treat, regenerate and extend its service life. When caring for footwear, you can reach for several tried-and-tested products.
Waterproofing Products
Waterproofing should be standard treatment for footwear intended for tackling more or less demanding outdoor terrain, but is of course also recommended for everyday work shoes. Waterproofing products protect footwear from moisture in the rain, repel water and protect against dirt.
Waterproofing products in spray form are suitable for all footwear surfaces except patent leather. The waterproofing process is not complicated. Simply apply three coats to dry footwear, allowing each coat to absorb and dry before applying the next. Footwear treated this way is protected against water and dirt. When waterproofing with a nano product, usually only one coat needs to be applied.
Shoe Creams
Leather footwear that is not properly cared for can dry out and crack over time. It is therefore advisable to regularly cream and wax leather footwear after cleaning. Most creams today already contain wax, so after applying the cream and a short pause, the footwear can simply be polished. A soft brush or soft cloth can be used for polishing. The result of such care is revived colours, coverage of scuff marks and of course extended service life.
Waterproofing products and shoe creams are suitable for treating everyday footwear, but they will serve you equally well for work, sports, hunting, military or other specialist footwear.
