Pepper Sprays
Pepper sprays are among the most effective self-defence tools for protection against attackers or animals. They are easy to use and can be handled even by frail women or elderly people. They require no direct contact with the attacker, which is particularly valuable when facing an animal.
Pepper sprays are available with various active substances.
- Sprays with CS substance – cause redness and pain in the eyes along with blurred vision. They have an immediate effect, are sufficiently powerful and suitable for defence against animals.
- Sprays with OC active substance – OC is the natural substance oleoresin capsicum. It has an immediate stopping effect on the attacker and causes intense burning of the respiratory tract, an irritating cough and severe eye watering. Effects last more than 20 minutes, providing enough time to escape. Also known as PEPPER sprays.
- Sprays with CR active substance – CR is an irritant synthetic substance whose effect is nearly immediate and lasts 15–30 minutes. The attacker suffers a burning pain in the respiratory tract, head and eyes. Also suitable for defence against animals.
Sprays against people
Personal defence sprays come in various sizes and designs. You can also get a spray with an LED light that illuminates the attacker's face in an emergency. You can also purchase a case that attaches to a belt so the spray is always within reach.
Animal repellent sprays
If you spend a lot of time in nature, an animal repellent spray becomes an invaluable companion. They protect against dogs or dangerous predators such as bears. Some have an effective range of up to 6–8 metres and completely disable an animal's sense of smell for several days, allowing you to safely get home from the forest.
Women's pepper sprays
Women's pepper sprays are smaller in size for easier handling and to fit even the smallest handbag. You can choose by spray type. For walks in the forest, a "JET" spray in stream form is suitable — it works similarly to a toy water pistol. For lifts or corridors, choose a spray in mist form, "FOG", where the substance disperses in the air.
