We developed pasta with a high proportion of cricket flour exclusively together with the crew from the Czech company SENS. Crickets are talked about as the superfood of the future. They are just as good a source of protein as beef or fish. Yet farming them is many times gentler on the environment and eating them is kinder to the health and well-being of our bodies. Simply put, maximum energy with minimal impact on nature. The nature around us as well as the nature within us.

About the meal
A recipe inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean is a perfect choice, and not only when you fancy something without meat. We have complemented top-quality ingredients full of flavour and sunshine energy with protein penne containing SENS cricket flour. Thanks to that, we have packed on average a quarter more energy and twice as much protein for proper recovery into a single portion than you will find in other meat-free meals. So you can take on every challenge with ease and with relish.
Ingredients
SENS pasta (28 %) (semolina (80 %), cricket flour (Acheta domesticus) (20 %)), passata (18 %), spinach (18 %), white beans (13 %), onion, Kalamata olives (4 %), Parmesan cheese (milk, rennet, salt), sun-dried tomatoes, rapeseed oil, garlic, salt, black pepper.
Preparation
You will need drinking water to rehydrate the meal. Ideally hot – heated on a stove, in a kettle or carried in a thermos flask. If there is no way to heat the water in advance, you can also add cold water and then warm the meal up with a self-heating capsule.
