Thanks to its low weight, the clay disc is particularly stable in the air. Its inventor, Alan Adler, incorporated findings from his research and teaching work at Stanford University, Princeton and NASA. The focus was on accuracy, stability and aerodynamics. Even with minimal effort, the Frisbee flies great distances thanks to minimal air resistance and lands with precision on target. Rounded, soft edges make catching easier.
