A SHIELD AGAINST HEAT

The key work is done by Polyquaternium-47: it binds to your facial hair and doesn’t let it lose as much moisture during blow-drying or straightening. A trio of conditioning ingredients – cetearyl alcohol, behentrimonium methosulfate and cetrimonium chloride – adds slip, tames tangling and smooths the beard. Don’t look for oils or fragrance in the formula; during hot styling they would just be unnecessary ballast.

DRY BEARD FIRST, THEN HEAT

Heat Protector is applied to a clean, completely dry beard – breakfast leftovers baked into your beard are no decoration. Then use a comb to spread it along the entire length so that no hair is left unprotected, and wait 1 to 2 minutes for it to dry. It was originally created as a companion to the Beard Straightener electric brush, but it works with any hairdryer or straightener.

Usage:

First wash your beard and let it dry completely. Spread Heat Protector through it along its entire length and comb it through so that the protection reaches every hair. After 1 to 2 minutes of drying, it’s time for the hairdryer, straightener or heated brush – keep the temperature at a maximum of 230 °C and don’t heat any spot for too long. Apply the protection before every heat styling, and finally treat your beard to oil or balm.

Polyquaternium-47 creates a protective layer on your facial hair against drying out from heat. Cetearyl alcohol, behentrimonium methosulfate and cetrimonium chloride have a conditioning and antistatic effect, so the beard combs out more easily and tangles less.
