Beal Rope Defender is a rope protector made from a coiled steel spring with a rubber protective cover (which can also be used separately). It protects the rope from excessive wear caused by, for example, friction against sharp edges or rough surfaces, as well as contamination from paint and so on. The internal steel spring is practically indestructible and the external rubber cover can be replaced with a new one if damaged.
