Brandit BDU Ripstop shorts are made from 100% cotton. Cotton is non-irritating and comfortable to wear, whilst durable ripstop fabric weaving ensures that the shorts will not tear easily. You will use these shorts mainly during spring and summer – warmer seasons overall – and combined with your favourite t-shirt they make a summer outfit hit. The shorts contain 2 x front pockets, 2 x rear pockets and 2 x side pockets. Fastening is via buttons. The shorts contain drawcords at the waist that can tighten the waist by approximately 5 cm, 6 cm, allowing you to adjust the size and wear the trousers without a belt.

What is Ripstop?
Ripstop is a high-strength fabric made using a special technique. Thicker threads are woven into thin textile at intervals of 5–8 mm. The advantages of ripstop fabrics lie in their very good weight-to-strength ratio and high tear strength.
Ripstop is used for hot air balloons, parachutes, boat sails, tents, rucksacks and sports clothing.
All camouflage clothing of the American Army is currently made from so-called ripstop poplin (50% polyamide and 50% cotton).
Ripstop was developed in the USA during the Second World War.
