What is the MOLLE system?
The MOLLE system is a webbing load-bearing attachment system that consists of horizontally placed webbing straps with a width of 1 inch (2.54 cm) with vertical spacing of 1 inch. The straps are sewn to the base fabric (for example on a tactical vest or rucksack) at a spacing of 1.5 inches (3.81 cm). This system was patented by the US armed forces in 1998. Today the MOLLE system is the most widely used webbing attachment system throughout the world.
