What is the MOLLE system?
The MOLLE system is a webbing load-bearing attachment system that consists of horizontally placed webbing straps 1 inch (2.54 cm) wide with vertical spacing of 1 inch. The straps are sewn to the base fabric (for example on a tactical vest or rucksack) at 1.5 inch (3.81 cm) intervals. This system was patented by the US armed forces in 1998. Today, the MOLLE system is the most widely used webbing attachment system throughout the world.
