CAMP Cassin Corsa Alpine weighs 300 g, which places it among the lightest ice axes on the market. The EN 13089 type B certification ensures safety on steeper sections and on glacier traverses.

Steel head for technical terrain

The head of the axe is made of chrome-plated steel, the shaft of 7075 aluminium alloy and the bottom spike of carbon steel. The steel head delivers performance on hard snow and ice, so the Alpine copes with more technical terrain – at the cost of more weight than the mostly aluminium Corsa Nanotech.

Ergonomic grip and oval shaft profile

The shaft has an oval profile that is easy to hold even with gloves on. The lower end finishes in a sharp spike that gives good purchase in snow and on mild ice. The leash is not included – it has to be purchased separately.
