You approach a glacier with a long ascent and pull lightweight Camp Ascent crampons from your rucksack and unstrap the Camp Corsa Alpine ice axe. Simple binding makes it easy to attach the crampons to your boots, and with the axe in hand you begin to climb the steep ice slope to the summit with your secured partner. Well-positioned spikes bite perfectly into the frozen surface and flexible snow guards prevent balling and possible slipping. After reaching the summit you shake hands with your partner and begin to descend back down the snow-covered ridge to the top. You remove your crampons, clean them, place them in the transport pouch and then put them in your rucksack. The crampons gave you confidence, thanks to them the ascent was safe and you could enjoy it without worry.
