A patented internal mechanism combined with robust forged construction and advanced ergonomics ensures exceptional control even under heavy load (up to 210 kg for 2 people). In addition to its abseiling brake function, Giant is certified as a moving fall arrester (for rope traverses), an ascender and a belay device for climbing, making it the most advanced tool of its kind on the market.
A high level of safety is ensured by the "anti-panic" function, which automatically locks the brake if excessive pressure is applied to the release lever, immediately stopping lowering or abseiling. Another feature you will appreciate is manual brake locking on the rope (lever in FULL LOCK position) without the need for further intervention. In situations where you need to ensure rapid rope passage through the brake (with little or no load), you can use an external button to hold the cam in the open position. The brake can of course be used on the rope without having to remove it from the carabiner, preventing accidental falls.
A large connection hole allows insertion of a second carabiner, which then completely prevents the brake from opening. Logical rope routing together with clear external and internal illustrations makes rope setup easier.
