SKIMO Pure Nanotech is the lightest steel crampon in the world, suitable for ski mountaineering and racing. The crampons are manufactured using Sandvik Nanoflex nanotechnology based on a special steel that is 70% stronger and 20% harder than traditional steel, which allows for a thinner cross-section (1.8 mm). This makes the crampons not only lighter, but also stronger and more durable. The advantage of the Skimo Pure Nanotech crampons is the central linking bridge, which has holes drilled asynchronously in two rows, allowing for more precise crampon size adjustment. Another feature is the ability to adapt the size to smaller boots by simply sliding the linking bridge towards the heel edge. The crampons can thus be easily adapted to boot sizes of 210 - 330 mm (EU size 36 - 46). The SKIMO Pure Nanotech crampons are ready for boots with a front bail (Automatic Crampons), which can also be turned upside down and adapted to boots that have a lower front bail than standard boots. This sophisticated front boot clamping is called the T-STOP system. The crampons can also be optimised for boots without a front bail; simply purchase the CAMP SKIMO Semi-Automatic Toe Bail accessory (2589). The SKIMO Pure Nanotech crampons also allow you to replace the central linking bridge with a CAMP Skimo Dyneema linking strap (2596), which further reduces the weight of the crampons and the size of your rucksack.
