3V Pendleton Mini Hunter is a small hunting knife with a smooth blade. COLD STEEL manufactures Pendleton Hunter knives based on the designs of renowned American knifemaker Lloyd Pendleton, who works closely with the company and participates in the development of mass-produced hunting knives. Our blades made from American CPM 3-V steel are extremely durable. CPM 3-V is a tool steel, resistant to breakage and general wear. CPM 3V is a tool steel manufactured by powder metallurgy process with uniform microstructure. Its chemical composition gives it extreme toughness, resistance to brittleness and very good wear resistance. CPM 3V offers greater toughness than, for example, D2. Standard hardness of CPM 3V ranges from 58 to 60 HRC. CPM 3V often replaces highly alloyed tool steels in operations where chronic problems with tool cracking or breakage occur. Its chemical composition reduces corrosion resistance, so knives made from this steel should have subsequent surface treatment or the owner must pay increased attention to regular knife maintenance. DLC surface treatment with a black finish prevents easy scratching and makes the knife resistant to corrosion. The perfectly shaped knife handle made from Kraton material (Long Kray-Ex™) offers a non-slip surface. It fits perfectly in the hand and allows very fine manipulation of the knife in wet and muddy environments. The package includes a Secure-Ex sheath, which protects both you and the knife. 3V Pendleton Mini Hunter is an ideal addition to any hunting or camping rucksack or survival kit.
