The 4-MAX model was developed in collaboration with renowned American knife maker Andrew Demko. Its design is dimensioned with a single clear objective – to produce a folding knife with a 4" blade (approximately 10 cm) and maximum performance. This exceptional American steel is not only very strong and durable, but can achieve outstanding blade sharpness and the blade has a long service life. A very fine-grained powder steel with uniform microstructure offers very stable properties. It is resistant even with a very fine blade edge, reliable and highly corrosion-resistant. It is an excellent choice for high-quality custom knives and tools. The CPM (crucible particle metallurgy) process guarantees a very homogeneous, high-quality steel structure, dimensional stability, good sharpening characteristics and strength compared with steels produced by conventional methods. Despite lower chromium content, this steel exhibits very good corrosion resistance results. The handle is reinforced with titanium liners and the blades are made from three-dimensional CNC-machined American G-10 material. The blade tang is also dimensioned to withstand the required load in direct proportion to the required performance. The G-10 handle has a finely textured roughened surface for better and safer grip. The texture and pronounced shaping ensure that the knife will not slip from your hand in any situation, even when your hands are wet, sweaty or dirty, which allows you to develop sufficient force for cutting. This knife is equipped with a lock featuring the unique patented Cold Steel® Tri-Ad Lock™. The lock prevents accidental or unintentional closure of the knife, even after natural wear over time. The 4-MAX has been tested for lock resistance, repeated impacts and tensile load, where the lock easily held more than 360 lbs in the open position without damage. The knife is designed for use in very extreme situations.
