The 4-MAX knife is manufactured in Italy and only in limited numbers. The 4-MAX knife was developed in collaboration with the outstanding American knifemaker Andrew Demko. Its design is dimensioned with a single clear objective – to produce a folding knife with a 4" blade (approximately 10 cm) and maximum performance. This martensitic, stainless steel has very good strength properties and is used primarily as a material for cutting tools. Compared with AUS 8A, it holds an edge better and is more resistant to wear. The steel was subsequently heat-treated to achieve perfect balance between edge retention and easy re-sharpening. The handle is made from Griv-Ex™ material. It is a handle material with unique properties and is significantly stronger than Zy-Ex. The material is not subject to moisture, temperature changes or deformation. Deep texture offers excellent anti-slip properties for the handle. This knife is equipped with a lock featuring the unique patented Cold Steel® Tri-Ad Lock™. The lock prevents accidental or unintentional closure of the knife even after natural wear over time.
