AK-47 series knives are exceptionally popular with security personnel and especially with military staff. This knife with its distinctive military design is highly recognisable. The ergonomic and distinctly shaped handle is finished with an aluminium pommel. This is used, for example, for breaking car glass or in combat to reinforce strikes with the back of the hand. The knife blade is made from CPM-S5VN steel. This exceptional American steel is not only very hard and durable, but it is possible to achieve excellent sharpness with it and the blade has a long service life. A very fine-grained powder steel with uniform microstructure offers very stable properties. It is resistant even with a very fine blade edge, reliable and highly corrosion-resistant. It is a good choice for high-quality custom knives and tools. The CPM process (pseudo-powder metallurgy) guarantees a very homogeneous, high-quality steel structure, dimensional stability, good sharpening capability and strength compared with steels produced by conventional methods. Despite its lower chromium content, this steel exhibits very good corrosion resistance results. The DLC surface treatment with a black finish prevents easy scratching and makes the knife corrosion-resistant. The G-10 handle has a fine texture on the surface, a roughened finish, for better and more secure grip. The texture and distinctive shaping ensure that the knife will not slip from your hand in any situation, even when your hands are wet, sweaty or dirty, which allows you to exert sufficient force to make a cut. This knife is equipped with a lock featuring the unique Cold Steel® Tri-Ad Lock™ patent. The lock prevents accidental or unintentional closure of the knife even after natural wear over time.
