Forged boot knife is forged from a single piece of high-carbon steel 52100. This is a steel with a high carbon content, which is excellent for hunting and outdoor knives with a fixed blade. It is often used for bespoke fixed-blade knife manufacture, where toughness and resistance to wear in extreme conditions are required. Alloy steel type 52100 is used primarily for the manufacture of aircraft bearings and other highly stressed components. The steel contains approximately 1.0% carbon, holds an edge well and is exceptionally tough. The blade and body of the knife are coated with a layer that protects the knife from corrosion. This surface treatment has a rough structure, so it does not slip when gripped. The blade of the knife is ground on both sides. Because of this, the knife is a very effective self-defence tool. The full-tang Drop Forged construction makes the knife practically indestructible. Its hunting capability is underlined by the sheath, which imitates deer antlers. The knife comes with a Secure-Ex sheath, which protects both you and the blade.
