The Forged Hunter is forged from a single piece of high-carbon steel 52100. This is a steel with a high carbon content that is excellent for hunting and outdoor knives with a fixed blade. It is often used for bespoke fixed-blade knife manufacture, where toughness and resistance to wear in extreme conditions are required. Alloyed steel of type 52100 is used primarily for the manufacture of aircraft bearings and other highly stressed components. The steel contains approximately 1.0% carbon, holds an edge well and is exceptionally tough. The blade and knife body are coated with a layer that protects the knife from corrosion. This surface treatment has a rough structure, so it also does not slip when gripped. The full-tang Drop Forged construction makes the knife practically indestructible. The knife comes with a Secure-Ex sheath, which protects both you and the knife.
