Batons from the Blackthorn series are inspired by classic Irish Shillelagh batons. Irish stick fighting has its origins in the 17th century, when the English banned the Irish from carrying any weapons. The Bata or Shillelagh baton was often carried in public as a common accessory, as a walking stick, but at a moment's notice could be used as a very brutal weapon. Irish boys learned to use the Shillelagh baton from a young age and training accompanied them throughout childhood and into adulthood. This tool features a beautiful wooden construction with raised spikes and a highly polished head made from synthetic wood. The polypropylene material used is incredibly durable. The beautifully polished head, which imitates noble wood, is the dangerous striking part of the entire baton. The Blackthorn baton is available in three lengths for different uses. Whether you carry it on outings or keep it simply as a functional decoration on the wall, you can always rely on the baton.
