Kyoto is a small knife with a fixed blade and smooth edge. Both blade shapes of the Kyoto knives are styled in the form of Japanese swords. Robustly constructed blades feature full tang construction, meaning they extend along the entire length of the handle. Between the blade and the Kray-Ex™ handle is a hand guard made of stainless steel. This guard is reminiscent of the traditional tsuba of a Japanese sword. Together with the shaped handle, it gives the knife a unique appearance. The knife blade is made of stainless steel 8Cr13MoV, which after heat treatment exhibits a hardness of 57–58 Rockwell. A subtle and comfortable sheath is suitable for concealed carry of the knife in a neck sheath using a safety chain. It can be very well concealed under clothing and causes no discomfort during extended wear. The sheath can be equipped with a C-Clip from Cold Steel® (SACLB), so the knife can be carried on the belt.
