The Recon 1 is one of the most popular tactical folding knives from Cold Steel. That is why we have decided to bring back a smaller Mini Recon series, which is now also available at a very acceptable price. It is a classic EDC, an everyday carry knife that, thanks to its size and weight, will not unnecessarily draw negative attention from those around you. The blade with a thickness of 3 mm is made from AUS 10A steel. This martensitic, stainless steel has very good strength properties and is used primarily as a material for cutting tools. Compared with AUS 8A, it holds an edge better and is more resistant to wear. The steel was subsequently heat-treated to achieve the perfect balance between edge retention and easy re-sharpening. The Stonewashing surface finish prevents easy scratching and increases the knife's resistance to corrosion. The handle with pronounced texturing is made by high-pressure injection moulding from Griv-Ex™ material, which is sufficiently strong in itself. The surface structure of the handle prevents accidental slipping of the knife when working in a wet environment. The knife is equipped with a two-sided opening pin and this range of knives is also equipped with the unique Cold Steel® Tri-Ad Lock™ patent. The lock prevents the knife from closing involuntarily or unintentionally even after natural wear over time. In the packaging you will also receive a clip for carrying on the left side.
