Cold Steel Recon 1 Clip Point Plain folding knife. The Recon 1 is one of the most popular tactical folding knives produced by Cold Steel. Evidence of its popularity is the long-standing production and demand for this knife series. The blades in this range are now manufactured from CPM S35VN steel. CPM-S35VN is a stainless steel designed to offer improved toughness, achieving hardness between 58 to 61 HRC. Additionally, the blade is also protected by a DLC Coating surface treatment. The G-10 handle has a fine texture on its surface, texturing, for better and safer grip. The knife is fitted with a two-sided thumb stud for opening and this knife series is also equipped with Cold Steel's unique Tri-Ad Lock™ patent. The lock prevents accidental or unintended closure of the knife even after natural wear over time. The knife also has a clip for carrying on trousers or a belt.
