Historically, the Roach Belly was a knife with a short blade featuring a pronounced upright curve and a sharp tip, which gained popularity in the 17th century in Great Britain and the American colonies. This hollow-ground blade is made from German stainless steel 4116, which is heat-treated to a hardness of RC 56-57, allowing its edge to be maintained with ease. Instead of a traditional wooden handle, our handle is made from hard polymer. As a result, the Roach Belly is substantially more resistant to weathering than its predecessors. The Roach Belly comes with a Secure-Ex® sheath.
