The Kris is one of the most distinctive weapons of Southeast Asia (Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia). The original Kris, also called a Keris or Karis, is a weapon with a double-edged, typically wavy flaming blade. The Ti-Lite® Kris has a blade sharpened on one side only. Our 4" Ti-Lite Zy-Ex™ Kris features a 330 mm blade made from AUS 10A steel. This martensitic, stainless steel has excellent strength properties and is sold primarily as a material for cutting tools. Compared with AUS 8A, it holds an edge better and is more resistant to wear. The steel was then heat-treated to achieve the perfect balance between edge retention and easy resharpening. The blade is polished to a satin finish. The knife handle is made from Zy-Ex™ material. For the safety of your fingers and to prevent accidental closure of the knife, the knife is fitted with a Linerlock safety catch. As our tests have shown, it withstands a load of 65 kg.
