Cold Steel pioneered the folding karambit Tiger Claw™. The shape and use of the Tiger Claw is derived from the classic Filipino and Indonesian fighting karambit. The Tiger Claw karambit blade is made from CTS XHP stainless steel. This steel is an air-hardening steel with high carbon and chromium content. It is corrosion-resistant and has high hardness once hardened. The handle of the folding karambit is made from G-10 – glass fibre. The handle surface has a rough texture and does not slip even in sweaty or wet hands. This range of knives is also equipped with Cold Steel's unique Tri-Ad Lock™ patent. The lock prevents accidental or unintentional closure of the knife even after natural wear over time.
