This orange variant of the Ultimate Hunter knife is designed for outdoor activity and survival enthusiasts. The Ultimate Hunter is the result of three years of collaboration between knifemaker Andrew Demko and Cold Steel president Lynn C. Thompson. These gentlemen worked together not only on the knife design, but also subjected the knife to extensive strength and safety testing. The blade, with a thickness of 3.5 mm, is made from CPM-S35VN steel. This exceptional American steel is not only very strong and durable, but also allows for outstanding blade sharpness and provides the blade with a long service life. A very fine-grained powder steel with uniform microstructure offers very stable properties. It is durable even with a very fine blade edge, reliable and highly corrosion-resistant. It is a good choice for high-quality custom knives and tools. The CPM (crucible particle metallurgy) process guarantees a very homogeneous, high-quality steel structure, dimensional stability, good sharpening characteristics and strength compared with steels produced by conventional methods. Despite lower chromium content, this steel exhibits very good corrosion resistance results. The Ultimate Hunter knife opens with one hand. A double-sided removable blade pin is used for opening. To allow both right-handed and left-handed users to use the knife, a left-handed clip is included in the packaging. The Ultimate Hunter knife is equipped with the Tri-Ad Lock locking system. The lock prevents accidental or unintentional closure of the knife, even after natural wear over time. A 3D handle made from G-10 material and machined by CNC is comfortable, smooth and provides a good grip in the hand. The material and 3D patches also provide a very secure grip.
