Molon labe in translation means "Come and take them!" A famous statement by Spartan King Leonidas I in response to Persian King Xerxes I's demands for surrender and laying down of weapons. It entered history in connection with the well-known Battle of Thermopylae, where several hundred proud Spartans faced the vast superiority of the Persian army numbering several hundred thousand soldiers.
