Premium Fenix 18650 2600 mAh rechargeable battery with its own built-in micro-USB charging connector. It can be charged by connecting a cable to the micro-USB connector (for example from a computer or mobile phone charger) as well as in a conventional charger. Li-ion rechargeable batteries are characterised by very high capacity, do not suffer from memory effect and have no self-discharge. Li-ion in 18650 size are the best choice in terms of stored energy relative to the size and weight of the battery.

Fenix battery protection consists of internal safety mechanisms and protective electronics. Added electronic circuits prevent overcharging of the cell, excessive discharge and protect against short circuit or excessively high current draw. If the battery electronics detect that limit values have been reached, they safely disconnect the cell.

Internal protection consists of a separator, thermal protection (PTC thermal protection) and a special anti-explosion valve. In the event that gas pressure in the cell exceeds a certain threshold, the internal separator isolates the electrodes inside the battery and thereby effectively interrupts the exothermic reaction, and the anti-explosion valve releases excess gas pressure from the battery. Thanks to the combination of electronic and mechanical (thermal and pressure) protection, Fenix batteries are among the safest available Li-ion rechargeable batteries.

In size, the 18650 battery corresponds to approximately two CR123A lithium batteries, which is why it is often used in torches as a rechargeable alternative to these primary cells. Check the first time whether your device supports this cell. Warning

If you are using an older charger purchased around 2014, first check whether batteries with a length of 69–70 mm will fit into it.
If possible, do not discharge the battery below 2.5V
Do not short-circuit the battery (do not connect the cell terminals with a conductor)

Do not insert the battery into the charger in reverse (with opposite polarity)
