Looking for reliable and versatile lighting for camping, pitching a tent, fishing or evenings on the terrace? You have found it. Fenix CL20R PRO is a compact and powerful rechargeable camping lantern that you can use to light a room, tent or work table. Twenty-seven high-brightness LEDs hidden under a hemispherical diffuser provide a light output of up to 400 lumens (ANSI) with a pleasant neutral white light tone (3700 - 4200 K). The advantage of this tone is more natural and contrastive colour rendering, which does not tire the eyes. To create atmosphere, the lantern is also equipped with twenty-four RGB LEDs for coloured lighting. Power is supplied by a replaceable Li-ion rechargeable battery Fenix ARB-LP1900 with a capacity of 1900 mAh, which charges conveniently via a modern USB-C connector. In an emergency it can be replaced by three standard AAA batteries. Thanks to its durable construction with IP65 rating, it will not be afraid of rain. The bottom is equipped with a flip-out suspension eye and a strong neodymium magnet, so you can easily attach it to tent structure, car bonnet or any iron surface. With a weight of only 122 grams, it is an ideal outdoor light for travel.
Compared to the CL20R V2.0 lantern, the CL20R PRO lantern offers higher maximum power and a built-in 5.8GHz radar motion sensor. When active, the lantern automatically turns on when you approach and turns off when you move away.
All parameters of the light (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use of Fenix CL20R PRO
There may be an insulation cover on the rechargeable battery from the factory. Before first use, remove it.
Turning on/off and switching power modes - The lantern turns on to white light by holding the switch for 0.5 seconds, to turn on colour modes press the switch twice quickly. To turn on the light ring, press the switch once and then again within 3 seconds. Individual lighting modes of the selected lighting method are switched by pressing the switch. The lantern turns off by holding the switch for 0.5 seconds.
Switching lighting modes - Delayed shutdown function: If the lantern is on in white light modes, press the switch twice quickly to activate the delayed shutdown function. The switch light ring will light up purple and the lantern will turn off automatically after 20 minutes. If the lantern is on in colour lighting modes or has an active colour ring, you switch between these two lighting modes by double-pressing the switch. If the smooth colour change mode is active, double-pressing the switch will pause the current colour or resume the smooth colour change again.
Intelligent motion sensor - If the lantern is on in white light and the intelligent motion sensor is active, it will automatically turn on when motion is detected within a range of 1.5 metres. After 60 seconds without motion, it will turn off automatically.
- Sensor activation - With the lantern off, hold the switch for 3 seconds. The ring flashes blue twice and the lantern turns on in low white light mode. Indication: If the sensor is active, the switch ring lights up blue.
- Sensor deactivation - With the lantern off, hold the switch for 3 seconds. The ring flashes blue eight times.
- The motion sensor is off by default.
- To save battery, deactivate the sensor when you do not need it.
- If the sensor is active, double-pressing the switch temporarily activates delayed shutdown (ring lights up purple). After it is complete, the lantern will automatically return to sensor mode (ring lights up blue).
Memory of last set mode - The light has memory and will always turn on in the last set white light mode, with the exception of the highest mode. Instead, it will turn on in the second highest mode.
Battery replacement - Pull the suspension eye on the bottom of the lantern and unscrew it clockwise to open the battery cover. Insert the battery according to the marked polarity and then screw the battery cover back on.
Charging - Flip open the dust cover and plug the USB-C charging cable into the light's charging port. After charging is complete, seal the dust cover again. Normal charging time is 2.5 hours. The lantern can be used in all modes during charging. During charging, the switch light ring gradually flashes green counter-clockwise. When fully charged, it lights up green. To extend battery life, we recommend charging the lantern when the charge level is between 50% and 25%. If the charge level drops below 25%, immediate charging is recommended. Do not connect the charging cable to the lantern if you are using AAA batteries.
Battery status indication - After each power-on, or pressing the switch when the lantern is off, the battery status is displayed on the switch light ring for 3 seconds. If the ring lights up green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it lights up red, it is charged to 25-50%. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains. This function is only active with the original Fenix ARB-LP1900 battery.
Intelligent overheat protection - When the lantern is used for a long time at high power mode, a large amount of heat accumulates. When it reaches a temperature of 50 °C or higher, it automatically reduces the power by a few lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 50 °C, the power gradually increases again.
Low battery warning - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the ring around the switch will start flashing red to remind you that the battery needs to be recharged.
Warning
- Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Remove the battery to prevent accidental activation if the lantern is placed in a closed and flammable environment, such as pockets and rucksacks.
- If the lantern is flashing, does not switch to higher power modes or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- The rechargeable battery is discharged – charge it.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the lantern, two-year warranty on the rechargeable battery.
