Fenix CL26R PRO is a practical portable rechargeable lantern that you can use to light a room, tent, campsite, caravan, cabin, boat or work table. Additionally, it features a power bank function, so it can be used to charge other USB devices. The lantern offers circular lighting and bottom lighting functions, with individual light modes switched via a rotary control. Moreover, both lighting methods can be combined to achieve a total output of up to 650 lumens.

The CL26R PRO is powered by a Li-ion 21700 rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh (included in the package), which charges directly in the lantern via a USB-C connector and provides power for up to 408 hours of operation in the lowest mode. It also features red light, which does not disrupt eye adaptation to darkness.

Front directional lighting and bottom lighting are very practical functions that significantly save energy. They are particularly useful in situations where circular omnidirectional lighting is not needed.

Thanks to its durable and impact-resistant construction with IP66 rating, the light can be safely used in adverse weather (heavy rain). The top of the lantern is fitted with a suspension eye that can be opened as a carabiner and a strong neodymium magnet, so it can be easily hung or attached to any ferrous metal object. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the lantern is particularly suitable for camping and hiking, but you can also use it in a caravan, on a boat or in a cabin.

All parameters of the light (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use

From the factory, there may be an insulating cover inside the lantern on the rechargeable battery. Before first use, remove it from the rechargeable battery.

Turning the switch clockwise switches on the main circular light. Turning the switch anticlockwise switches on the bottom light. By rotating the switch in the chosen direction, you switch between the lighting modes of the activated light. Turning the switch to the middle "off" position switches the lantern off again.

Combination of main and bottom light - the main and bottom light can be combined. Switch one of them on using the rotary control to the desired power mode. The other light is then switched on by holding the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds; its modes can be further switched by pressing the button.

When the lantern is off, the red light is switched on and off by holding the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds. You switch between red light modes by pressing the button.

Battery charge status indication - by briefly pressing the button (the lantern must be off), the LED charge status indicator above the switch is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is charged to 80-100%, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40% and one flashing indicates the battery is charged to less than 20%.

Power bank function

Flip open the dust cover and insert the USB cable into the USB type A discharge port on the light, then connect the other end of the cable to the USB device you want to charge. If the lantern is on, the power bank function activates automatically when the USB cable is connected. If it is off, press the electronic switch; the indicators will recede from right to left and display the status. During discharge, the highest power cannot be used or the main and bottom light modes combined. After charging is complete, remember to seal the dust cover. If the rechargeable battery voltage is too low, the power bank function will switch off.

Charging the Fenix CL26R PRO lantern

To charge the lantern, flip open the dust rubber cover. Connect the lantern using the included USB-C cable to a computer, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter. You can also use a standard mobile phone charger or power bank charger for charging. During charging, the indicator LEDs above the switch flash and show the charging progress. After charging is complete, they will remain lit.

The rechargeable battery does not suffer from memory effect, so it can be charged at any time and you do not need to wait for it to be fully discharged. Charging a fully discharged rechargeable battery takes approximately 3.5 hours (depending on the power of the charging source used).

During charging, the lantern can only be switched on to modes of 5, 25 and 50 lumens.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• If the light flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The rechargeable battery is almost discharged – charge it.
  • Electrical contacts are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol.
  • The battery cover is loose – tighten it.
