Fenix CL27R is a multifunctional rechargeable lantern and light. It also works excellently as a rechargeable work light, light for photographers or as a light for the home, tent or car. A high-brightness COB LED provides a wide light beam with output up to 1200 lumens (ANSI), the intensity and colour of which can be continuously adjusted using rotary controls. There is also a distant reflector with output 800 lumens and beam distance 177 metres and red light. The distant and wide reflector can be combined to achieve output up to 1600 lumens. The CL27R is powered by a single Li-ion 21700 type rechargeable battery with capacity 5000 mAh (included in the package). The battery charges directly in the lantern via a USB-C connector.

Thanks to its durable and impact-resistant construction with IP66 rating, the light withstands adverse weather conditions and falls from a height of 1.5 metres. Wide mounting options for the light are ensured by a handle that rotates 360°, integrated magnets and a tripod thread.

All parameters of the light (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use of the Fenix CL27R rechargeable lantern

Switching on/off and changing white light output - to switch on to white light mode, rotate the left control clockwise. By rotating it you then continuously adjust the light output from lowest to highest. To reduce output, rotate the left control anticlockwise. To switch off, rotate the left control anticlockwise to the end position.

Switching lighting modes - switch on the lantern with the left control clockwise, it will always switch on in wide beam mode. Then by pressing the top button you can cycle through the lighting modes in the order wide beam - distant beam - distant and wide beam.

Changing the colour of the wide reflector light - when the lantern is switched on to wide or combined beam, the colour of the white light of the wide beam can be continuously changed by rotating the right control in the range 2700 to 6500 K. The colour of the distant beam light is 5700 K and cannot be changed. The lantern remembers the set colour of the wide light beam even after switching off.

Red light - when the lantern is off, red light is switched on and off by holding the electronic switch for 0.5 s. Further button presses cycle through the red light modes.

Battery replacement - using the supplied plastic key, loosen the battery cover by rotating anticlockwise. Insert the battery with the positive pole facing into the lantern and then tighten the cover fully. Warning: screwing the battery cover with a sharp tool may cause scratching.

Battery charge status indication - after a short button press or after switching on the lantern, the LED charge status indicator activates for 3 seconds. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is charged to 80-100%, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40% and one flashing indicates the battery is charged to less than 20%.

Low battery warning - if the battery voltage drops below the set level, the lantern automatically switches to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest output. After reaching low output, the battery charge status indicator begins to flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Charging the Fenix CL27R lantern

Flip off the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the lantern's charging port. After charging is complete, replace the dust cover. The normal charging time is 2.5 hours for a completely discharged lantern. During charging, the indicators flash from left to right, after full charge all four remain permanently lit. The light can be used while charging.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Remove the battery from the light if you will not use it for a long time, or loosen the battery cover by half a turn.
• Regular cleaning of electrical contacts ensures trouble-free operation of the light, as dirty contacts can cause the light to flash, light intermittently or not light at all for the following reasons:
  • Battery is discharged. Charge it or replace it with a charged one.
  • Electrical contacts inside the light are dirty, clean them with cotton wool soaked in alcohol.
