Fenix E08R UE is a powerful flat rechargeable torch that pushes the boundaries of pocket-sized EDC models. It offers a unique combination of features including strobe, red light, green laser pointer and innovative control. Despite its compact flat design, which fits perfectly into a pocket, it delivers high light output of up to 1600 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 160 metres. The torch is fitted with a pair of premium LEDs (Luminus SST20 and SFT25), which allow you to switch between narrow beam distance (spotlight) and wide (floodlight) cone of white light. Power comes from a built-in Li-Pol rechargeable battery with high capacity of 1650 mAh, which provides runtime of up to 111 hours in Moonlight economy mode. Charging is handled by a modern USB-C connector directly on the torch body.

Fenix E08R UE features five white beam distance modes, five white wide modes, red light with two power levels, green laser (pointer) and several scene modes for signalling or entertainment - white side light, RGB lighting, red-blue flashing and unique digital dice and hourglass modes are available. The torch comes with a sturdy two-position clip, so you can secure it deep in a pocket or on a rucksack strap. Also practical is the battery charge status indicator in the button. The torch is ideal for EDC (everyday carry) and thanks to its flat shape you can always have it with you without it getting in the way.

All torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, impact resistance and beam distance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use

To turn white light on or off hold the main button for approximately 0.5 seconds. Five basic power modes are then switched by briefly pressing the same button. Switch between beam distance and wide reflector by pressing the central oval button.

Tactical tail switch (Turbo and Strobe) - With the torch off or in strobe mode, press the tail switch for instant Turbo activation. If you release the button within 3 seconds, the light will turn off. If you hold it for longer than 3 seconds, the torch will lock in Turbo mode. To activate strobe with the torch off (or from Turbo/white light) press the tactical switch twice in quick succession. Pressing again will turn off the torch or return to the previous mode.

Red light is turned on and off by holding the side red button for approximately 0.5 seconds. Brief pressing of this button switches between high and low power. You can also switch to red light directly from active white light or laser by holding the red switch for 0.5 seconds.

Green laser is turned on and off by holding the green button on the side of the torch for approximately 0.5 seconds. With white light active, you can activate the green laser simultaneously (add it to the white light) by holding the green switch for 0.5 seconds.

Scene modes (Scene mode) - Double-tap the main button with the torch off to activate side lighting. Subsequent brief presses of the button cycle through the functions – white side light → RGB steady light → red-blue flashing → RGB smooth pulsing → digital dice → digital hourglass. Scene mode turns off again by holding the main button for 0.5 seconds.
*In RGB steady light mode, you can select your favourite colour by holding the oval button.
**In digital dice mode, shake the torch twice to randomly light 1 to 6 side dots.

Memory for the last set mode - When white light is turned on, the torch will always turn on to the last selected power mode. This function does not apply to the highest High modes (in both beam distance and wide cone), in which case it will turn on one level lower.

The control buttons can be locked to prevent accidental activation, for example when transporting in luggage - with the torch off, hold both the red and green side buttons for 2 seconds. The torch will then flash twice, signalling that it is locked. To unlock the buttons, hold them again for 2 seconds and the torch will turn on in the lowest Moonlight mode.

Battery charge indication - with the torch off, briefly press the main button once, then the indicator LED will light for three seconds. Green light indicates the battery is charged to 100–85 %, green flashing 85–50 %, red light signals the battery is charged to 50–25 % and red flashing indicates a critically discharged battery (less than 25 %).

Overheat protection - if the torch temperature exceeds 60 °C, the power will automatically reduce. Once the temperature drops below 60 °C, the torch will gradually return to its original power.

Low battery warning - the torch will gradually automatically switch to the lowest power mode and the indicator LED will start flashing red to alert you that charging is needed.

Charging

• Turn off the torch and connect it via USB-C cable to a computer, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter. You can also use any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector for charging.
• During charging, the indicator LED lights red, after full charge it lights green. After charging is complete, disconnect the cable.
• Charging voltage: 5 V, max. charging power 5 W (5 V / 1 A). Typical charging time from completely discharged is approximately 2.5 hours.
• The torch can be used in a limited way during charging. If the battery voltage is below 3.3 V, only Moonlight mode can be activated. If the voltage is above 3.3 V, you can use Moonlight to Med modes. Red light, green laser, strobe and Turbo are not available during charging.
• The battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so you can recharge the torch at any time.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Never shine the green laser directly into the eyes of people or animals! The torch should not be used by children.
• If the torch does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, the battery is discharged - have the torch charged.
