Tactical rechargeable LED torch Fenix GL30R is designed specifically for use on long guns. It offers top-tier light output of 800 ANSI lumens with extreme beam distance of up to 630 metres. The torch is powered by a single Li-ion rechargeable battery type 18650 with a capacity of 3400 mAh, which charges directly in the torch via a multifunctional USB-C port and is included in the packaging. Alternatively, two disposable lithium CR123A batteries can be used. Torch control is achieved via a tactical rear switch or the included remote pressure switch AER-07. This connects to the USB-C port and offers a locking slider against accidental activation. Mounting on a gun is highly variable – the torch comes with mounts for standard Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913) and M-Lok system, allowing flexible installation in both in-line and offset positions. The torch is thus a perfect tool for professionals, armed forces, sport shooters, hunters and airsoft users.

All torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, waterproofing and beam distance) are measured in accordance with standard ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Operating the Fenix GL30R torch

From the factory there may be an insulating cover inside the torch on the rechargeable battery. Before first use, remove it from the battery.

The torch can be operated either via its tactical rear switch on the body, or via the included remote pressure switch AER-07. Note: If you turn on the torch with one switch, it cannot be turned off with the other.

Rear switch operation: For constant light, press the switch fully (until it clicks). For momentary activation, press the switch only halfway and hold. When released, the torch turns off.

Remote switch AER-07 operation: Connect the switch to the USB-C port and secure the connector by rotating it. The switch has two buttons and a locking slider (against accidental activation). One click of the pressure button turns the torch on/off continuously. Pressing and holding the silent pressure button turns the torch on momentarily (lights only while pressed).

Charging the torch – flip off the rubber cover of the USB-C port (or disconnect the remote switch) and connect it to a computer, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter (not included in packaging) using the included cable. Any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging. During charging, the indicator LED at the port glows red; when fully charged, it glows green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 2 hours. Warning: Do not charge the torch if you are using disposable CR123A batteries inside.

Battery status indication – when the torch is turned on, the LED indicator activates for 3 seconds. If it glows green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50–85%. Red light means 25–50%. Red flashing indicates less than 25% capacity remaining. (Function is active only when using Li-ion rechargeable battery).

Battery replacement – unscrew the torch head and insert the battery with the positive pole facing outward (towards the head). Then fully tighten the head again.

Intelligent overheat protection – if the torch temperature exceeds 60 °C, the output automatically reduces. Once the temperature drops below the safe threshold, the output gradually increases again.

Warning

• Use only quality rechargeable batteries or branded CR123A batteries to prevent torch damage, for example from battery leakage.
• When using the torch on a gun, observe all safety rules.
• Insert batteries with the positive pole facing towards the torch head.
• The torch accumulates significant heat; take care during use to avoid burns.
• When transporting in luggage or storing, remove the battery or loosen the torch head to prevent accidental activation.
• If the torch flashes, glows dimly or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The rechargeable battery is discharged – replace it or charge it.
  • Contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with cotton wool soaked in alcohol.

Five-year warranty on the torch. Two years on the rechargeable battery and remote switch.
