The new generation compact head torch Fenix HL16 delivers a light output of 450 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 104 metres. Power is provided by three readily available AAA batteries. The light source is a modern LED Luminus SST-20 with a white light tone, positioned in the main reflector. A red LED Everlight 2835 serves as supplementary lighting. There are 6 power modes in total, including an SOS strobe mode for emergency situations. The head torch is fitted with a wide, comfortable strap. The strap is perforated for rapid sweat drainage and fitted with reflective elements that ensure good passive visibility, for example when running on roads. Thanks to its weight of just 97 grammes, the Fenix HL16 works well as a running head torch and also for camping, hiking and other outdoor activities. With a choice of several colours and a competitive price, the HL16 is also ideal for children.

All head torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use

White light is switched on by pressing the right button for 0.5 seconds; red light is switched on by holding the left button. White light has memory and will always switch on in the last selected mode. Red light always switches on to the constant 5 lumens mode. You can cycle through further power levels at any time during operation by pressing the relevant button. The head torch switches off by holding either button for 0.5 seconds. White and red light cannot be activated simultaneously.

The control buttons can be locked to prevent accidental activation, for example when carrying in luggage – hold one or both buttons pressed for 3 seconds. To unlock, hold both buttons for 3 seconds.

Overheat protection – if the internal temperature of the head torch exceeds 65°C, it will automatically reduce power.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• Never use batteries of different types or batteries with different capacities.
• Always check carefully that batteries are inserted into the head torch with the correct polarity.
• If the head torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
• Batteries are almost flat – replace them.
