Compact LED head torch Fenix HM23 V2.0 offers light output of up to 300 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of 88 metres. It is powered by a single AA battery, with which it achieves runtime of up to 100 hours in the lowest mode (more than 4 days). The light source is a premium white LED Luminus SST-20 and a pair of red LEDs. All-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is fully waterproof to IP68 standard down to 2 metres underwater. The practicality of the head torch is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head mount and use it as a small pocket torch. Additionally, the head torch is fitted with a removable steel clip, so you can easily attach it to a pocket, belt or any strap. The torch end is magnetic, so it can be easily attached to anything metal. The head torch offers three power modes in white light mode and electronics with runtime extension function, in 300 and 50 lumen modes gradually reduces power to achieve longer runtime (see runtime graph for individual modes). Red light can be activated in steady mode or strobe mode (both at 5 lumens).

Very respectable specifications, low weight of only 86 grammes (including alkaline battery) and favourable price make the HM23 V2.0 suitable for a wide range of sports, hobby, work and everyday activities. It is suitable for evening runs on roads, camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. It will also serve you as an emergency torch in your car for unexpected situations and thanks to its high durability it is also suitable as a work head torch for demanding conditions.

Use

Unscrew the battery tube cap. Insert the battery with the positive pole facing into the head torch, negative pole facing the cap.

The off head torch turns on to the last used white light mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
The off head torch turns on to the last used red light mode by double-tapping the button quickly.
The on head torch turns off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.

When the head torch is on, short presses of the button will cycle through the power modes in the order 3 - 50 - 300 lumens (when turned on to white light) or red 5 lumens - red strobe (when turned on to red light). The torch has memory and will always turn on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light).

Low battery warning - if the battery voltage drops below the set level, the head torch automatically switches to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. After reaching the lowest power, the head torch flashes 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to replace the battery.

Head torch lock - when the head torch is off, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds, the head torch will flash 4 times in red mode to signal the locked state. Unlock by holding the button again for 3 seconds. Accidental activation of the head torch can also be prevented by loosening the battery cap approximately a quarter turn.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Remove the battery from the torch if you will not be using it for a long time or if it is discharged. Otherwise, especially with disposable batteries, leakage may occur and damage the head torch.
• If the head torch flashes, does not switch to higher modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • Battery is almost discharged – replace it.
  • Battery tube cap is loose – tighten it.
  • Electrical contacts are dirty – clean them with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol.
