Rechargeable head torch Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 is characterised by construction from lightweight magnesium alloy, high water and impact resistance, unique construction with two reflectors and light output of up to 1600 lumens. The reflectors create well-focused light beams that shine both at distance and close range simultaneously. The main reflector emits cool white light at approximately 6500K (so-called daylight white) and the secondary reflector emits warm white light at approximately 3000K (however, the beams cannot be combined). Warm light penetrates fog, rain and falling snow better, so you will use it especially in poor weather conditions.

The main reflector offers 3 lighting modes, with the maximum light output being 1600 lumens, the secondary reflector offers maximum output of 800 lumens and can be selected from four lighting modes. The head torch also has an SOS mode and an integrated whistle on the strap for emergency situations. Power is supplied by one Li-ion rechargeable battery type 18650 with capacity 3400 mAh, which is included in the packaging and charges via a modern USB-C connector directly in the head torch. In an emergency, the head torch can also be powered by two disposable CR123A batteries.

Like other Fenix trail head torches, the HM65R-T V2.0 is equipped with a wide strap featuring the Sport Fit System, that is with a wheel for easy adjustment of strap length. On your head you can quickly and comfortably loosen and tighten the head torch with one hand. The strap is also perforated and fitted with reflective elements, which ensure good visibility of the user and passive safety. Compared to the first generation HM65R-T, the new model is equipped with cut-outs for quick strap removal, so the head torch can be easily used on sports, work and tactical helmets using Fenix ALG-03 and ALG-04 mounts. Thanks to its lower weight and lightweight construction, the head torch is particularly interesting for trail running, cycling and skiing. It is certainly also suitable for other sports activities (hiking, climbing, camping, fishing...). It will definitely serve you well in every situation!

All head torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with standard ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use of Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 head torch

From the factory there may be an insulation cover on the battery. Before first use, remove it from the battery.

The main reflector is switched on by holding the right button (approximately 0.5s), the reflector with warm light tone is switched on by holding the left button (0.5s). The head torch always switches on to the lowest power mode. Lighting functions are switched by briefly pressing the respective button. Both reflectors cannot be switched on simultaneously but you can switch between them by pressing the respective button. SOS mode is activated by holding any switch for at least 1.2 s.

Battery charge status indication - by briefly pressing any button (head torch must be off) the LED battery charge status indicator between the buttons is activated. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is charged to 80-100%, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40% and one flashing indicates the battery is charged to less than 20%.

Control buttons can be locked to prevent accidental activation, for example when transporting in luggage - in the off state press both buttons and hold for at least 3 seconds, then the head torch will flash, indicating it is locked. To unlock, hold both buttons again for three seconds.

Overheat protection - if the head torch temperature exceeds 60°C, it will automatically reduce power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilises. As soon as the temperature drops below 60°C, you can switch back to higher power modes.

Low battery warning - when voltage drops below a certain threshold, it automatically switches to a lower power mode, if the battery status indicator starts flashing during operation, the battery is almost discharged.

Charging - open the USB-C connector cover and connect the supplied charging cable, connect the other end of the cable to a computer, power bank or USB mains adapter or car adapter (not included in the package). During charging, the status LEDs show the charging progress. After charging is complete, all four light up. Charging a completely discharged battery takes approximately 3 hours. During charging, the head torch can only be used in low mode of the main or secondary reflector.

Using the adjustment wheel to set head strap length - to tighten the strap, turn the wheel anticlockwise. To loosen the strap, turn the wheel clockwise. By further turning the wheel after maximum strap loosening, the strap will begin to tighten again and the direction of loosening and tightening will reverse.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Use only quality Li-ion 18650 batteries, in case of using disposable CR123A batteries, do not attempt to recharge them in the head torch.
• If the head torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • Battery is discharged – charge it or replace it.
  • Contacts inside the head torch are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol.
