The rechargeable head torch Fenix HM75R features two light beams with output up to 1600 lumens and a powerful red light with output up to 120 lumens. The long-range reflector with premium LED Luminus SST-40 creates a well-focused light beam with beam distance up to 223 metres and the second reflector with powerful LED Luminus SST-20 has a very wide and smooth light pattern with beam distance up to 60 metres. The light output of the long-range reflector is up to 1600 lumens, the wide-beam reflector offers maximum output of 1000 lumens and neutral white light. Light from both reflectors cannot be combined, and switching between them is easy using a rotary selector on the side of the head torch.
The head torch is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery 18650 3400 mAh, which is located inside the head torch. Additionally, it has a removable rear battery case with a rechargeable battery 21700 5000 mAh for significantly extended runtime. The rear battery case can also function as a standalone power bank for charging any USB devices, connecting to the head torch via USB-C cable equipped with anti-pull locks. The head torch can be operated without the internal battery, powered only by the power bank via USB-C cable (with slightly reduced maximum output). The package also includes an extension USB-C cable 1 metre long, so the battery case can be stored under a jacket, for example, to prevent excessive cooling of the battery in winter and so on.
The head torch is made from lightweight and durable magnesium alloy, its construction is fully dust and waterproof according to standard IP68 and also impact-resistant to drops from 2 metres.
The HM75R head torch, thanks to its high performance and endurance parameters, is suitable for anyone who wants a powerful and reliable companion in extreme conditions. It will serve excellently for work such as rescue personnel, but also for athletes, climbers, repair technicians, hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts. A pleasant bonus is the very powerful red light.
All parameters of the head torch (light output, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with standard ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009.

Use of the HM75R head torch
From the factory, the rechargeable batteries may have an insulating cover. Remove them before first use.
The head torch is switched on and off using the rotary switch on the right side. In the first position the head torch is off, rotating to the second position switches it on to long-range reflector mode, rotating to the third position switches it on to wide reflector mode and rotating to the fourth position switches on the red reflector. Power modes in each position cycle through by pressing the button on the side of the rotary switch.
Memory of the last set power mode - The head torch has memory and always switches on in the last set power mode of the selected reflector, except for the highest modes of the long-range and wide reflectors, instead it switches on in the second highest mode of that reflector.
Locking of the supplied USB-C cable in the connectors - The package includes a USB-C cable for connecting the head torch and battery case. The cable is equipped at both ends with locks that prevent accidental disconnection from the head torch or battery case. To lock the cable, connect the USB-C cable to the connector in the head torch and battery case and rotate the cable ends clockwise. To unlock the cable, rotate the ends anticlockwise and disconnect it.
Intelligent power reduction - The head torch has a built-in protection circuit. When the reflector is brought close to an illuminated object (less than 60 mm) for longer than 1.5 seconds, it automatically reduces power to low mode to prevent damage to the object from strong light and glare from reflected light. When the reflector is moved away from the illuminated object for more than 0.8 seconds, the head torch automatically restores the previously used power level. Switching the intelligent proximity sensor on/off - With the head torch off, press the side button for 6 seconds. Activation of the function is indicated by the head torch flashing twice in low mode. Deactivation of the function is indicated by eight flashes in low mode.
Intelligent overheat protection - During prolonged use of the head torch at high power modes, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the head torch reaches a temperature of 60 °C or higher, it automatically reduces power by several lumens to lower the temperature. When the temperature drops below 60 °C, the power gradually increases again.
Low battery warning in the head torch - If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the head torch automatically switches to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. After reaching the lowest power mode, the battery status indicator begins to flash to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.
Charging and power bank function
Charging the head torch - Remove the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging port of the head torch. After charging is complete, replace the dust cover. During the charging process, four indicators on the top of the head torch gradually light up and flash. Four continuously lit indicators mean charging is complete. Normal charging time is 4 hours with a 5 V/2.5 A USB source for a completely discharged head torch.
Note: During charging with a 9 V USB source, the head torch can be used in all modes. The maximum output of the long-range reflector will be limited to 1200 lumens and the wide reflector to 700 lumens. During charging with a 5 V USB source, the head torch can only be used in the two lowest modes of any reflector. The head torch will flash several times when first switched on after connecting a USB source, indicating the charging voltage used. Two flashes indicate charging at 5 V and four flashes indicate charging at 9 V. When powered from a USB source, the head torch can be used without a battery inside. Only charge original Fenix ARB-L18 rechargeable batteries in the head torch.
Charging the rear battery case - Remove the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging port of the case. After charging is complete, replace the dust cover. During charging, the indicator in the button on the battery case lights red. When fully charged, it lights green.
Power bank function of the rear battery case - Remove the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging port of the case. Press the button on the battery case once to activate the power bank function. If the power bank is on, pressing the button again will turn it off. After replacing the battery in the battery case, the power bank function will turn on automatically if connected to the head torch. The power bank supports these fast-charging protocols: PD3.0/PD2.0, QC3.0/QC2.0, FCP, SFCP, PE2.0/PE1.1
Power bank low-load detection function - When the power bank function on the rear battery case is on, hold the button on the case for 3 seconds. Activation of the low-load detection function is indicated by three red flashes of the indicator LED in the button. Deactivation of the function is indicated by eight red flashes. This function is designed for charging USB devices with very low power consumption, such as fitness trackers and wireless headphones. With the low-load detection function on, the power bank will automatically stop discharging when the head torch is fully charged. To restart the power bank function, reconnect the USB-C cable to it or press the button on the battery case. With the low-load detection function off, turn off the power bank function using the button when the head torch is fully charged to avoid unnecessary discharge of the battery in the rear battery case.
Battery status indication when the power bank is switched on - If the battery is sufficiently charged, the button on the case flashes green, if the battery voltage drops below 3.2 V, the button flashes red. The power bank function will automatically turn off if the battery voltage drops below 3.0 V.
Battery charge status indication in the head torch - After briefly pressing any button (the head torch must be off), the LED battery status indicator on the top of the head torch activates. Four lit LEDs mean the battery is charged to 80-100%, three lit 60-80%, two 40-60%, one 20-40% and one flashing means the battery is charged to less than 20%.
Battery charge status indication in the battery case - If the rear battery case is not connected by cable to the head torch or another USB device, you can press the button to check the charge status of the battery in the case. If the indicator LED lights green after pressing the button, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it lights red, it is charged to 25-50%. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% of the battery capacity remains.
Battery replacement - Unscrew the head torch cap and insert the battery with the positive pole facing into the head torch. Then fully tighten the head torch cap again. When replacing the battery in the rear battery case, insert the battery with the positive pole facing outwards. If the caps are not fully tightened, the head torch and battery case will not function properly.
Warning
- Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
- Only use quality Li-ion rechargeable batteries for power.
