Rechargeable hunting torch Fenix HT18R is among the tactical torches with the greatest beam distance in our range. Its powerful reflector offers a beam distance of up to 1100 metres and light output of up to 2800 lumens (ANSI). The light source is a high-performance LED SFT-70 from American manufacturer Luminus. It is powered by one Li-ion 21700 type rechargeable battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh (the battery is included in the package). The Fenix HT18R LED torch has six white light modes with a runtime of up to 42 hours, including strobe and SOS flashing. At the rear of the torch is a tactical dual switch enabling instant activation by pressing and instant strobe activation. Additionally, red and green filters are included in the package. The torch is compatible with mounts for long weapons and the Fenix AER-05 cable switch. The Fenix HT18R is a top-tier light tool for professionals, hunters and all users requiring the longest possible beam distance.

All torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Operation of Fenix HT18R hunting torch

To switch on/off press the main tactical button at the end of the torch; to activate instantly hold the button. By pressing the secondary mode switch button you can switch between power modes at any time during operation. To switch to strobe mode when the torch is on, hold the mode switch button; pressing the button again switches to SOS. To switch the torch on directly in strobe mode press and hold the mode switch button.

Memory for last set mode - the torch has memory and will always switch on in the last set mode, except strobe and SOS.

Battery replacement - unscrew the torch tail cap and insert the battery with the positive pole facing inward. Then fully tighten the tail cap again.

Charging - flip open the dust cover and connect the USB-C charging cable to the torch charging port. During charging the indicator opposite the charging connector lights red. When fully charged it lights green. After charging is complete, reseal the dust cover. Normal charging time is approximately 3.5 hours for a fully discharged torch. The torch cannot be used during charging.

Battery charge status indication - each time the torch is switched on, the indicator LED opposite the charging connector activates for three seconds. If the indicator LED lights green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it lights red, it is charged to 25-50%. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% battery capacity remains.

Intelligent overheat protection - if the torch temperature exceeds 65°C, the power will automatically reduce. As soon as the temperature drops below 65°C, maximum power can be used again.

Low battery warning - if the voltage drops below the set level the torch will reduce brightness to a lower level until it reaches 30 lumens output. After reaching the lowest output the battery charge status indicator will flash red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Warning

• Use only quality rechargeable Li-ion 21700 batteries with protection electronics.
• Insert batteries with the positive pole facing the torch head.
• If the protective rubber O-rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The O-rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is almost discharged - charge it or replace it.
  • The contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol.
  • The head, body or rear of the torch are loose, tighten them.
