Pocket torch Fenix LD12R offers a light output of up to 600 lumens and a beam distance of 186 metres in the main reflector. It is powered by a Li-ion rechargeable battery type 14500 with a capacity of 800 mAh, which charges directly in the torch via a USB-C connector hidden under the torch head screw cap. The charging connector is therefore perfectly protected against water and dirt. Alternatively, you can also power it with a single disposable AA alkaline or NiMH battery (with limited maximum output of 150 lumens).
The main reflector is complemented by a secondary side light with output of up to 100 lumens and a wide light beam for short-distance illumination (for example, for reading, work and similar tasks). The torch is also equipped with a sturdy clip with an integrated magnet, so you can easily hook it onto a pocket or belt, or attach it to a metal surface and have your hands free while lighting. In economy mode with output of 1 lumen, it also offers a very long runtime of up to 110 hours of illumination on a single charge.
Fenix LD12R is a universal handheld torch suitable for everyday carry, home use, cottage use or hiking. Thanks to the magnetic clip and side light, it also excels as a work torch.
All torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use of the Fenix LD12R LED torch
Before first use, remove the insulating cover from the battery.
To turn on or off, fully press the end button of the torch. To switch between the main and side reflector while the light is on, loosen the torch head until it turns off (approximately a quarter turn), then tighten it again. This will switch between the main and side reflector. You can change power modes while the torch is on by pressing the button on the end cap.
The torch has memory for the power modes of the main reflector. If you turn it off with the button and turn it on again after more than 1 second, it will turn on in the last set mode.
Charging – loosen the torch head by 3 to 4 turns to reveal the charging port, and connect the USB-C charging cable to the torch's charging port. After charging is complete, tighten the head again. The typical charging time is approximately 2 hours with a completely discharged torch. The torch cannot be used during charging. During charging, the indicator next to the charging connector lights red; when fully charged, it lights green. If you use a disposable alkaline or NiMH battery, do not attempt to charge it in the torch!
Battery charge status indication – next to the charging connector is an indicator LED signalling the battery charge level (you need to unscrew the torch head by 3–4 turns). When you press the button, the indicator lights up for 3 seconds. If the indicator LED lights green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50–85% capacity. If it lights red, it is charged to 25–50%. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% battery capacity remains. This function is active only when using Li-ion 14500 rechargeable batteries.
Intelligent overheat protection – when the torch is used for extended periods at the highest power mode, a large amount of heat accumulates. In such cases, the torch automatically reduces output to lower the temperature.
Low battery warning – if the battery voltage drops below the set level, the torch will reduce brightness to a lower level until it reaches the lowest mode. After reaching the lowest output, it will flash three times every 5 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. This function is active only when using a Li-ion 14500 rechargeable battery.
Warning
- Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
- Remove the alkaline battery from the torch if you will not be using it for a long time or if the battery is already discharged. This will prevent the risk of leakage and subsequent damage to the torch.
- If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the torch will be properly protected against water.
- If the torch is flashing, not switching to higher power modes or not turning on, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
- Battery is discharged – charge it or replace it.
- Contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol.
- The head or rear of the torch is loose – tighten it.
Warranty
Five-year warranty on the torch and two-year warranty on the battery.
