The new ultra-powerful rechargeable torch Fenix LR80R delivers extreme light output of up to 18,000 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 1,130 metres. This performance is achieved thanks to six top-tier Luminus SST-70 LEDs with a lifespan of 50,000 hours of operation, powered by an internal high-current Li-ion rechargeable battery with a capacity of 86.4 Wh. The battery charges directly in the torch via a modern USB-C connector with support for fast-charging protocols. With the included 45W USB power supply, it charges in just four hours. The torch offers control via two buttons, which allow separate control of high and low light modes, including two hidden flash modes: SOS and strobe.

Due to the enormous light output, the torch is equipped with a proximity sensor in the reflector, which automatically reduces the output to 50 lumens when the torch is brought within approximately 6–8 centimetres of an object (preventing damage to the object from intense light and glare from reflected light). The torch is equipped with five indicator LEDs that show the battery charge status. Additionally, the torch can be used as an emergency power bank to charge other USB devices. The torch comes with a removable handle in the basic package, to which a suspension eye and tripod thread can be attached. The torch can thus be carried in hand or comfortably suspended over the shoulder using a strap. It can also be mounted on a tripod and used as stationary lighting. Use

• The battery may have an insulating cover from the factory. Remove it before first use.
• Light control operates in the form of two power groups. The right button controls the high power modes and the left button controls the low power modes and hidden flash modes.
• Holding the left or right button for 0.5 seconds will turn the torch on to the last set power mode within the selected mode group (left button = low modes, right button = high modes).
• Pressing the left button cycles through the modes 50 – 150 – 450 – 1,000 lumens, and pressing the right button cycles through the modes 3,000 – 6,000 – 12,000 and 18,000 lumens.
• Holding the right button for 1.2 seconds always activates the highest mode of 18,000 lumens (even from the off state).
• Holding the left button for 1.2 seconds turns the torch on to strobe mode; pressing the button again switches to SOS.
• The torch turns off by holding either button for 0.5 seconds, the same as when turning on.
• The control buttons can be locked to prevent accidental activation, for example when carrying in luggage – with the torch off, press and hold both buttons for at least 3 seconds, then the torch will flash to indicate it is locked.
• To unlock, hold both buttons again for three seconds.
• Accidental activation can also be prevented by loosening the torch body, which breaks the electrical contact between the torch head and the battery.
• Charging – flip off the rubber cover of the charging connector and plug the cable into the USB-C connector on the torch; plug the other end into the USB-C connector on the included charging adapter. The indicator LEDs on the torch flash from left to right during charging and show the charging status. When charging is complete, all five indicator LEDs will remain lit. After charging is complete, seal the connector properly with the rubber cover. During charging, the light can only be used in the lowest mode with an output of 50 lumens.
• Charging external USB-C devices (power bank function) – flip off the rubber cover of the USB connector and connect the device you want to charge with a suitable USB cable (the included cable can only charge a USB-C device). To activate the power bank function, briefly press one of the control buttons. When charging begins, the indicator LEDs will flash from right to left and show the battery status. When charging is complete, remember to properly seal the USB-C connector with the rubber cover. While using the power bank function, the torch can be used in all modes.
• Battery charge status indication – after briefly pressing either button, the indicator LEDs will light up for 3 seconds and show the battery charge status (the torch must be off). Five lit LEDs mean the battery is charged to 80–100%, four lit means 60–80%, three means 40–60%, two means 20–40% and one lit LED indicates the battery is charged to less than 20%.
• Intelligent overheat protection – when the temperature exceeds 60 °C, the torch automatically gradually reduces the output in small steps to prevent overheating. Once cooled, it can be switched back to the highest power modes. The proximity sensor in the reflector automatically reduces the output to 50 lumens when the torch is brought within approximately 6–8 centimetres of an object (preventing damage to the object from intense light and glare from reflected light).

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts of the torch yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• The battery has no memory effect and can be charged at any time, even after brief use.
• If the protective rubber O-rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them.
• The O-rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these guidelines, the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes, or does not turn on, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is depleted; charge it.
  • The torch body is loose; tighten it.
