Rechargeable tactical torch Fenix PD32R offers high light output of up to 1400 lumens (ANSI) and an impressive beam distance of up to 344 metres. The exceptional beam distance (relative to the torch size) has been achieved using a premium Luminus SFT-40 LED, which creates a very well-focused beam. The torch can be powered by a single Li-ion 18650 rechargeable battery, which is included in the packaging, or by two disposable CR123A batteries. The battery is recharged via a USB-C connector cleverly hidden under a threaded cap at the torch head, where the battery charge indicator is also located. The Fenix PD32R features five different lighting modes, allowing you to choose between high power and long runtime (up to 70 hours). It also has a strobe mode for attracting attention and emergency situations, which can be quickly activated from the off state by holding down the tactical button. The PD32R impresses not only with its compact size and excellent performance, but also with its dual-spring construction, which provides excellent resistance to recoil when used on a weapon. On a long gun, the light can be controlled with the Fenix AER-02 cable switch. We can therefore recommend it for use in security services as well as for general outdoor and hunting use.

All torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use

The battery may come with an insulating cap from the factory. Remove it before first use.

To turn on, press the tactical button at the end of the torch; to activate immediately, hold the button down. The torch remembers the last selected mode (except strobe). When the torch is on, lighting modes (except strobe) can be cycled through by pressing the button. To activate strobe, hold the button fully pressed for 0.5 seconds (this also works from the off state). Pressing again will return the torch to the original mode. Pressing the button will turn the torch off.

Intelligent overheat protection - because the torch achieves high power of 1400 lumens, it experiences a temperature rise. If the temperature exceeds 60 °C, the power will automatically reduce. Once the temperature drops below 60 °C, the highest power can be used again.

Low battery warning - the torch will gradually automatically switch to the lowest mode and flash 3 times every five minutes.

Charging the torch - Unscrew the protective cap under the torch head and connect it to a computer, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter using the supplied USB-C cable (not included in the packaging) using the supplied USB-C cable. Any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging. During charging, the indicator LED opposite the charging connector lights red; when fully charged, it lights green. Charging a fully discharged battery takes approximately 3 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so the torch can be charged at any time. The torch cannot be turned on during charging.

Warning

• Do not disassemble the sealed part in the torch head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• Only use quality 3V CR123A batteries and 18650 Li-ion batteries to prevent damage to the torch, for example due to battery leakage.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch is flashing, not switching to higher power modes, or not turning on, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
  • Batteries are almost dead – replace them.
  • Contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol.
  • The head, body or rear of the torch are loose - apply lubricant to the sealing rings and tighten both the head and the end of the torch firmly.
