The Fenix PD36 TAC is a highly powerful tactical torch with simple operation and the ability to quickly activate strobe mode. It is fitted with the latest LUMINUS SST-70 LED and delivers a light output of up to 3,000 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 274 metres. The package includes a rechargeable 21700 Li-ion battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh, which charges via its own USB-C connector. The torch is equipped with a rotary control, which can lock the operation or select one of two usage modes. In tactical mode, the torch can be switched to 2,000 lumens or to strobe mode. In duty mode, you can choose between five lighting modes and strobe mode. In the lowest mode, it can shine for up to 160 hours. The precise and water-repellent design makes this tactical light primarily suitable for demanding outdoor conditions. It will serve security forces well, in search operations, rescue operations and for hunting.

All torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, water resistance, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use

• Using the rotary control at the end of the torch, you can select between lighting modes, which have different operation.
• Tactical mode (rotary control in left position): To turn on, press the tactical button at the end of the torch; to activate immediately, hold the button. The torch always activates in the highest mode. To activate strobe mode, hold the button for 0.8 seconds (works even when switched off). By holding, the torch returns to the original mode. Pressing the button turns the torch off.
• Duty mode (rotary control in right position): To turn on, press the tactical button at the end of the torch; to activate immediately, hold the button. The torch remembers the last selected mode (except strobe mode). Lighting modes (except strobe mode) can be cycled by pressing the button. To activate strobe mode, hold the button for 0.8 seconds (also from the off state). By pressing, the torch returns to the original mode. Pressing the button turns the torch off. In the middle position of the rotary control, you can lock the control button.
• If the torch is off, it cannot be turned on.
• If it is on, the control will lock in the currently set lighting mode and the control button will not respond. To reactivate the tactical button, you must rotate the control to tactical or duty mode.
• When using the cable switch, only the highest constant lighting mode is available.
• Intelligent overheat protection – if the torch temperature exceeds 60 °C, it automatically reduces power in gradual steps until the temperature drops below the safe limit. After cooling below 60 °C, full power can be used again.
• Low battery warning – the torch gradually automatically switches to the lowest power and flashes 3 times every five minutes.
• Charging – remove the battery from the torch and connect it to the side USB-C connector using the USB cable. During charging, the indicator light on the positive pole of the battery glows red. Once fully charged, it glows blue or green. The charging current of the built-in USB-C connector is 2A. Charging time is approximately 3–4 hours.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts in the torch head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them.
• The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion.
• By following these rules, the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is flat; charge it.
  • The contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol.
  • The rear of the torch is loose; tighten it.
