Fenix WH35RE is a safe work head torch for explosive atmospheres, designed for various areas with explosion risk, except underground mines. It is equipped with ATEX/IECEx certification. It offers maximum output of 280 lumens and is powered by one specially modified Li-ion rechargeable battery ARB-L21-3000Ex with a capacity of 3000 mAh (included in the packaging), which charges directly in the torch via a modern USB-C connector. The practicality of the head torch is enhanced by the ability to remove the light from the head mount and use it as a pocket or work torch. Additionally, the head torch is equipped with a steel removable clip, so you can easily attach it to a pocket or strap. Its large switch allows simple and precise control – even when wearing gloves.

WH35RE has been certified with several explosion-resistance certifications, including IECEx, ATEX and GRGT. Therefore, this product is safe for use in explosive atmospheres classified as zones 1 and 2, as well as in areas with flammable dust classified as zones 21 and 22. This includes environments such as oil, chemical and textile industries, firefighting, metallurgical areas, power stations and paper mills, etc.

Operation

From the factory, there may be an insulation cover inside the torch on the battery. Before first use, remove it from the battery.

On/off: With the head torch off, press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on to normal power modes (General mode). With the head torch off, press the switch twice quickly to turn on to emergency modes (Extreme mode). With the head torch on, press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds to turn off.

Power mode switching: In normal mode, pressing the switch once cycles through modes 30 → 100 → 280 lumens. In emergency mode, pressing the switch once allows you to choose between 5 lumens and SOS modes.

Battery charge status indication: If the head torch is off, pressing the button once briefly will turn on the battery charge status indication for 3 seconds, which is displayed by coloured backlighting of the button:

• Constant green: 100% - 85%
• Green flashing: 85% - 50%
• Constant red: 50% - 25%
• Red flashing: 25% and below (charge the head torch as soon as possible)

Charging: Connect the charging cable to the USB adapter, then plug the adapter into a socket. Flip open the dust cover on the head torch and connect the USB-C charging cable to the charging port. After charging is complete, replace the dust cover. During charging, the indicator in the button lights red. When fully charged, it lights green. Do not charge the head torch in an explosive atmosphere. When charging, use the supplied charging adapter to ensure safety.

Low battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the head torch will reduce brightness to a lower level. After reaching the lowest output, the battery charge status indicator will start flashing red to remind you to charge or replace the battery.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• If the head torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is almost discharged – charge it.

Warranty

Five years warranty on the head torch and two years on the battery.
