Rechargeable battery Fenix 21700 6000 mAh (ARB-L21-6000) with electronic protection (protected) delivers the highest real capacity on the market. Li-ion rechargeable batteries are characterised by very high capacity, do not suffer from memory effect and have no self-discharge.

Note, the dimensions of the rechargeable battery are 22 millimetres x 76.6 millimetres, so it has a larger diameter than standard Li-ion type 21700. It will therefore fit only in some torches and head torches. We have verified compatibility in these Fenix torches: TK22R, TK30R, HT18R, HT32, LR36R, LD45R, PD40R V3.0, PD36R V2.0.

Fenix rechargeable battery protection consists of internal safety mechanisms and protective electronics. Added electronic circuits prevent overcharging of the cell, excessive discharge. They protect it against short circuit or excessively high current draw. If the battery electronics detect that limit values have been reached, they safely disconnect the cell.

Internal protection consists of a separator, the most modern heat resistance protection (HRL - Heat Resistance Layer) and a special anti-explosion valve. In the event that gas pressure in the cell exceeds a certain threshold, the internal separator isolates the electrodes inside the battery and thereby effectively interrupts the exothermic reaction and the anti-explosion valve releases excess gas pressure from the rechargeable battery. Thanks to the combination of electronic and mechanical (thermal and pressure) protection, Fenix batteries are among the safest available li-ion rechargeable batteries.

Due to the length of the rechargeable battery 76.6 millimetres (including protective electronics) it can only be charged in chargers that are adapted to this length. See recommended chargers below.
